Well, I’ve been working on finding more networking sites and was directed to a yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/designersbiz/
I joined and was looking through some of the posts and found a link for designer software, etc. I took a look, just for kicks. I found the most exciting thing I’ve seen in a while!! There was a link to this designing software, Cross Stitch Pro Platinum Publisher, and its AMAZING!!
I know I’ve been set on buying the Hobbyware Professional software, but this new find has changed my mind. Built-in word processor, motif library and it creates patterns in “virtual stitch”, so you can “see” what your pattern will look finished. I downloaded the free demo to play with it last night. OH MY GOODNESS!! My hubby sat on the couch laughing at me while I pressed buttons to see what stuff did. I was duly impressed. Its $487, but the selling point for me is that I would be able to create the patterns, export them into virtual stitch and submit them to my design website that I’ve contacted to sell my patterns w/o “having to” stitch all the examples!!! Too exciting.
I’ve got SO much to discuss w/the SBDC at the end of the month.
BTW, I’m thinking to change the site a bit and put a page for my patten GIFs, so viewers can see my designs in one place. May work on that later.
Gotta get ready for work, so hope to hear from you soon.
