October’s end update October 25, 2008
Its been a very busy week, let me tell ya. Got back from Ruidoso w/all family members intact and had a great time. Wouldn’t mind going back sometime. I’ve spent this week cleaning, cooking, running after kids, church AND trying to work on bookmarks and the custom order. WHEW!! I’m so tired.
Anyway, I’m writing today to tell everyone that I have finished designing the custom order and I’m waiting for customer approval AND I’ve completed stitching 6 bookmarks, so 2 more to go!! If I can keep on the way I’m going, I should be able to start adding the finishing touches for the bookmarks this week/next. 
More news…the designer site that I had contacted to sell my designs is no longer going to be available. 
Not sure what’s going on w/that site, but I won’t be able to sell through them. I suppose I’ll just open an Etsy store when the time comes. Also, I spoke w/my women’s bible study group about my biz (prayer requests for God to provide funding & encouragement) and they’ve asked me to bring some of my stuff to the women’s retreat Nov.14-15!! Now that’s an answered prayer. Hopefully, something will come of it. I plan on bringing the completed bookmarks and printouts of some of my other designs.
This next week be hopefully be blessedly less busy and we can have time to be a family again. I HATE feeling disconnected.

I’ve been working hard October 16, 2008
Well, I’ve finished 4 of the 8 bookmarks as of last night and I CAN”T wait til I can add the fabric and see how my idea will work out!!
I have also received an order for a custom pattern featuring a verse from Isaiah-(just for the pattern, not for me to design and stitch it). I’ll start working on that this weekend too.
The family and I are going w/my MIL to Ruidoso, NM this weekend to remember/commemorate my FIL’s death(1yr anniversary is tomorrow). Hopefully, all will go well and everyone will enjoy the time away. Getting all of us together is sometimes more stressful than relaxing, so we’ll see.
I’ll work on posting a pic of the bookmarks as soon as they’re all stitched. I’m going to make everyone wait to see the ultimate finish.
Since I’ve got packing to start and finish tonight, I’d better get off now. TTYL.
Bookmark WIPs Update October 14, 2008
I worked on designing all 7 bookmarks this past weekend (they turned out really well) and I’ve already finished stitching 2 of them as of this morning and started the 3rd!!
I purchased some gorgeous fabric squares from Micheal’s this weekend to finish the bookmarks with. I’m SO excited and ready to see them all completed.
No fears. I’ll post pix of them when they’re all done.
Neat news… October 10, 2008
Just wanted to share that I have received my 1st custom bookmark order (!!), so I’m currently working on designing them.
I have a total of 7 bookmarks, personalized w/their names on it. Thus far, they’re looking really good.

For those that have been following my progress on “Pillar”, you’ll be happy to know that I have finally completed it and have framed it too.
I’ll work on getting a pic posted in the gallery for your viewing pleasure, hopefully tomorrow.
Now, I need to decide what to start next. I have another original design waiting to begin (just need to get all the DMC floss for it) or should I work on designing some Christmas ornament ideas that have been on my mind for some time?? Both are great ideas and hopefully should be faster to complete. Decisions, decisions.
I think I’ll sleep on it and make a choice this week.
