Mid-Sept. Already?? September 16, 2009

Can’t believe its mid-September!!

The boys’ school year is really picking up w/all the stuff to do.  Connor started Tiger Scouts this past Monday and I’ve become the defacto leader since no one else can/will.  It won’t be that bad, but its hard to add yet another thing to my schedule.

Haven’t been able to finish the last chart I NEED to complete, so I can send off the other 4 charts to PatternsOnline.com.  Just can’t seem to find enough uninterrupted time.  Busy almost every night the last 2 weeks and I exhausted by 9-9:30pm, so don’t want to get out the laptop and stare at it.

I like my day job, but I’m praying and waiting for the day when I can stay home, do my xstitch stuff, help w/the kids’ stuff AND not be so rushed to accomplish everything.  I’m a person that REALLY NEEDS downtime and I haven’t had that in quite some time.

I’m going to go attempt to get more done on the chart, thinking all the while about all the other things I’ve got to do.

1st of September… September 1, 2009

Well, bring on Autumn!!

The boys started school last Monday and both are enjoying all their new activities.  :-)   The hubby and I are getting back into the groove of work, school AND kids’ stuff.

I’ve been trying to work the last week/so on getting patterns transferred and stitching, but didn’t get much done.  I blame it on the 1st week of school…that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!!

I’ve completed 4 charts for submission, working on a 5th AND have stitched 6 of the 30 mini-booksmarks!!  YEA for ME!!  I’m trying NOT to get too stressed about getting everything “ready” for Coat Closet Designs’ October launch w/PatternsOnline.com, but, that’s something I struggle w/daily.

Guess I’ll take the next hour/so @ the day job and work on charts, then take the time between picking up the boys from school to stitch bookmarks.

Got a great start… August 23, 2009

Put in a good 4hrs today solely on xstitch charts!!  Whew!!  :-)

Got one fully transferred AND ready to submit to PatternsOnline.  AND figured out how to get my logo on it for copyright stuff!!  Planning to get the charts I have already designed, set up the way they need them and then, work on finishing the 30 mini bookmarks.

Got about a month to get the charts ready, all while starting back to school and regular work hrs.  Keep praying for me.

Cool happenings… August 19, 2009

Just wanted to share that Coat Closet Designs will have patterns on sell, via PatternsOnline.com, coming in October 2009!!  I’m SOO excited that all I can do is just smile REALLY BIG!!

Currently, I’m getting charts together and doing all the “legal stuff” right now.  An exact date will be posted when available!!

I will still being offering custom charts once I’m done with my current custom order.  I’ll let ya’ll know when I’m “ready”.  :-P

Thanks to all for your support and prayers.

August blessings… August 17, 2009

Got an awesome email today…an online xstitch company, PatternsOnline.com, would like to sell my patterns!!

Its amazing what God’ll do when you just trust Him to bless - been asking for blessings for most of the summer, emailed the company for info last week, left it up to Him and, TA-DA!!

Even the hubby and sons were excited for me… :-P   I plan to start working on getting PDFs of the charts I’ve already designed and then submit them and wait to hear something!!

I’ve also started stitching on the 30 mini-bookmarks and completed 4 and started the 5th.  Really want to hurry up and finish those, but I’ve got work it around my 2 other jobs, plus the family.

Trying… August 4, 2009

to get motivated lately and its proving to be very difficult for me.  Not sure what’s up.

I’ve been meaning to start working on the 3o mini-bookmarks since last Thursday-nothing.  I have an idea about creating corner bookmarks too, but haven’t been able to get energized to make up some charts.

Just haven’t felt like doing much of anything…wouldn’t mind any prayers and/or words of encouragement.  Guess I just having another one of those down times.  :-{

Maybe I can work on some later this afternoon.

Another finish… August 2, 2009

Filed under: bookmarks, business, cross stitch, home business — Wendi @ 2:01 am

I’ve finished my 2 misc. bookmarks that were just for me to “guinea pig” on.  I think they turned out nicely.  I’ll start working on the 30 mini-bookmarks, hopefully, on Monday.  :-)

Getting some stuff accomplished… July 26, 2009

Well, I finished the 2 bookmarks for the lady @ church and delivered them today!!  She LOVED them!!  So, here are some pix.

I’ll start working on the 30 mini bookmark order, probably tomorrow.  :-)

Big finish!! July 21, 2009

Well, I stitched almost non-stop since 4pm today and completed my racecar bookmark AND put all the backings on.  :-D

Here are pix, so enjoy and comment!!  Think I’m off to relax and may hit the bed early.

Its hot!! July 20, 2009

Well, its Monday…again.  :-P   Its hot here in TX, but at least its not over 100 like its been the last few weeks.  I could be happy w/it being 85 all the time-not too hot/cold, but I don’t usually get what I want.

I’ve finished the globe and am almost done w/the racecar, so I’m planning to put the fabric backings on the 4 bookmarks tonight.  Then, I’ll start on the bookmark orders that I received from one of the girls @ church-designed for our women’s ministry!!  I went ahead and designed one for our men’s ministry, but not sure how many of the guys would want one though.

After that,  I’ve got to get started on my 30 mini-bookmark order for another girl @ church that she’d like for a prison ministry she’s involved in.  Luckily, she doesn’t need them til Jan/Feb, so I won’t be too rushed.

I decided to stop taking orders for bookmarks a little early b/c of all the previous mentioned orders b/c I can’t guarantee I could finish them before Xmas.  School for the boys and my regular work hours will start at the end of Aug. and I’m not sure how much busier I’ll be w/a 7th and 1st grader.  Oh well, that’s my life.

Going to get off for now and try working on the racecar for my last hour at regular job, then go home and work some more.
